I was invited by Photographer Reg Gordon to contribute to his 48 Hour magazine.
He asked me to produce a black & white picture story, this is a second edit (colour) of the original shoot.

Pictures from an old "Greasy Spoon" in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
This place opened in the 1950's, successive layers of grease have been systematically "buried" beneath coats of paint.
Steve closed the doors for good in March 2001 and moved to Florida!.
All shot on Kodak Portra 800 with a Nikon F4 & 60mm Micro Nikkor.
Portraits of the Senator on the Campaign Trail (Galway), for nomination in the Irish Presidential Election 2011.
Shot with my "Trusty ol' D200" & a f2.8 180mm Nikkor-you have to twist it yourself to focus!
These are from a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner last week in The Meyrick Hotel (The Great Southern) http://www.hotelmeyrick.ie/# Galway City.
I shot at a high iso 1250 in raw & processed these in Photoshop with Silver Efex 2 from NIK Software (http://www.niksoftware.com/silverefexpro/en/entry.php?view=intro/main_sep2.shtml).
This filter set gives very similar results to wet darkroom prints.
