My Rolleiflex F2.8

I have an old battered 2.8 Rollei. I use it for portraits & it has served me well over the years. I photographed Michael O'Leary (CEO Ryanair) for a  Management Today front cover with it.He's not easy to photograph I got the shot in two frames then he ran off. The pictures here are from a recent visit to Birmingham-just my own stuff. My Brother, Uncle & Friends.

En Route > A Public Art Project by Aileen Lambert. Bekan Photography by Dave Ruffles

EN ROUTE is a public art project by Aileen Lambert http://www.enroute.ie/Home.html which was commissioned by Mayo County Council. The project involved the exploration of old routes in the landscape in the Bekan, Ballindine and Tulrahan areas. Residents in these areas introduced Aileen to old routes and the stories associated with them. This information was recorded in photographic and audio formats. In addition, tours of sites connected to old routes took place in September 2010, documentation of which features in the publication.

Aileen commissioned me to photograph the Bekan Walks, there are few shots here. The En Route website is well worth a look http://www.enroute.ie/Home.html

Allotment Gardens in Athenry, Co Galway

This Project is nearly complete. The latest pictures show spring & summer in the Allotments. I have sequenced them starting in Spring.
I’m shooting 6x6cm on a Hasselblad 500c, Ilford HP5 or Fuji Neopan 400.
The films are processed in Kodak HC110 dilution B with 20 per cent extra time to increase the gamma.
